What is the Massachusetts Health Promotion Clearinghouse?
The Massachusetts Health Promotion Clearinghouse provides free health promotion materials for Massachusetts residents and health and social service providers in the Commonwealth. Funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Clearinghouse develops and distributes health promotion materials on a wide variety of topics – you can see our full range of topics by clicking the All Topics button in the top left corner of any page.
When can I expect my order? What if my order is urgent or I need it by a certain date?
Orders are delivered within one week. If you need your materials for an event or by a specific date, please indicate that in the field "Customer Notes" when you place your order and we will do our best to meet your target date. If you need to receive your order within a day or two, please call us at 617-279-2211 (temporary number).
How many copies can I order? / How many copies will I receive?
If you enter a quantity of "1" you will receive only one copy of the item. You should enter the actual number of copies you want to receive, not the number of packages you want. Although items are usually shrink-wrapped, the quantity in each package varies depending on the products.
Each title has a quantity limit. If you try to add more to your cart than this, the amount will cart not be accepted, and you will see a message indicating the limit quantity. If you would like to request more than the order limit, please contact us with an explanation of how you plan to use the materials.
What is my order status?
You can check your order status at any time on the Order History page.
- Pending: Your order is awaiting approval by our staff – orders need to be reviewed against the order guidelines and restrictions. Orders are usually approved within one business day.
- Processing: Your order has been approved by our staff and is being prepared and shipped by our warehouse.
- Shipped: Your order has been shipped from our warehouse and is on its way to you. Shipping generally takes one to two business days. If your order status is "shipped" and you have not received it within three business days, please contact us or call 617-279-2211 (temporary number) for assistance.
How do I find a specific brochure, poster, etc.?
The search bar is located in the top center of any page – you can enter a title or item number to search for a specific item. You can also browse by topic through All Topics in the top naviation. If you are looking for products produced by a specific program, please see our Participating Programs.
What if materials are "Out of Stock"?
Occasionally we run out of materials at our warehouse and those materials will be noted as "Out of Stock" on our website. We will usually have these materials back in stock a few months. You can sign up to get an email notification when it is restocked.
If a product is available for download only and will not be reprinted, there will be no option to sign up for an email notification ("Join Waitlist"). Those products are only available in digital formats to download on our website.
