It provides guidance in regard to the medical, psychological, and social needs of adolescents and young adults with opioid use disorders, thereby improving physical and mental health outcomes. It has been developed to help primary care and pediatric health providers advance the clinical interventions by offering developmentally appropriate screening, treatment engagement, and coordinated care.
